The congregation and parishioners were joined by representatives of civic and community groups, including Thurmaston Parish Council (represented by Cllr Mark Lowe, Chairman), Thurmaston Branch Royal British Legion (represented by Cllr Andy Dent, Branch President), Thurmaston Scouts & Guides, and others. Cllr Lowe led civic and community representatives as wreaths were laid at Thurmaston War Memorial. After which, the congregation enjoyed tea - and cake - in church.
