Sapcote: All Saints

Philippians 2 v5-11

During this week of Global prayer, we can pray through a verse of the suggested scripture each day.

Friday

Phil 2 v 10  “that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth,”

 Through Isaiah God repeatedly announces

“I am the Lord, and there is no other.”

“  And there is no God apart from me, a righteous God and a Saviour; there is none but me.”

“Turn to me and be saved, all you ends of the earth; for I am God, and there is no other.”

The name of Jesus has power , authority and significance.

Ultimately we will all stand before God at the final judgement. Those who accepted faith during their lives will bow down out of love, joy, and gratitude. Those who rejected God will bow and confess out of ultimate realisation, with trembling and awe.

Father God , there is no other that can save us. Thank you that you guide us, protect us, teach us and sometimes rebuke us but everything is done out of Your love for us. Even at our worst you still love us and wait for us, you reach out to draw us back in. It is our privilege that we can kneel before you in prayer and humility here on earth and to have the expectation of eventually bowing before You in person. Amen
