46 people  lined up for the 2026 version of our annual fun run. The race was started in the usual manner by Paul Hing ( of Leicester City fame). Kind weather conditions saw all participants safely cover the 4.5km course between the two villages of Sapcote and Sharnford. An exciting finish saw Connor sprint away from Steve close to the finish.

The cake and plant stalls were successful. Many plants had been generously donated, including bedding plants from Sapcote Garden Centre.  All sold well.  The cakes were popular and sold out! 

A total of £561.83 was raised with Cancer Research, Parkinsons UK and Tearfund each receiving  £187.28.  

Organiser Dave Harrold thanked everyone who participated and supported our annual charity fun run and the 19 who helped make it happen. He felt the event was a great success, and everyone seemed to enjoy it!

Thanks are also due to Dave for his timeless enthusiasm in running this event and the desire of his heart to engage with the community.
