St Crispin's, Braunstone Town with Thorpe Astley

Welcome to the page for the parish church of St Crispin, serving Braunstone Town and Thorpe Astley.

Corona Virus (COVID-19) statement:

On Monday 23rd March the Prime Minister, Boris Johnson, announced stringent new measures to combat the spread of the COVID19 Corona Virus. This includes restricting us all to our homes except for essential travel for work or shopping for essentials, and a complete ban on public gatherings. This means we have had to formally close our church building to everyone, and end provision for people to attend at certain times for private prayer. We are joining every Sunday in online worship streamed on the Facebook page of our partner church St. Andrew's, Leicester Forest East (https://www.facebook.com/StAndrewsLFE/) at 11am and on their website from 11:45am (http://www.standrewslfe.org.uk/).

The buildings may be shut but the Church is not closed. Church is more than the building - WE are the Church! We can still pray at home, on our own, with our families and with others by telephone, over the internet or through live-streamed and broadcast worship. Further printed and online prayer resources will be prepared for festivals and special Sundays going ahead, supplementing the resources provided by the national Churches. Please contact Revd Dave Hover using the contact page if you would like to receive these resources.
