The Cathedrals Cycle Route Relay returns with a local Yorkshire route – and you can take part!

On Friday 9th June local cyclists will be invited to make a pedal pilgrimage from either Ripon Cathedral to Bradford Cathedral, or Bradford Cathedral to Wakefield Cathedral, as part of this year’s national ‘Cathedrals Cycle Route’.

These three Cathedrals are all part of the Church of England’s Diocese of Leeds.

In 2021 and 2022 the relay travelled around all 42 English Cathedrals but for 2023 a series of local routes will be undertaken, including one between Carlisle, Durham and Newcastle, and rides starting at Peterborough and Rochester.

Cyclists will set off from Ripon Cathedral at 10am, heading towards Bradford, with a second leg heading from Bradford Cathedral to Wakefield, meeting at 1pm for a 1:30pm departure.
