Exploring Vocation Together

Occurring
for 2 hours
Venue
Bradford Cathedral
Address
Stott Hill Bradford, BD1 4EH, United Kingdom

This Exploring Vocation Together event will provide an opportunity for you to hear from The Rt Revd Dr Toby Howarth Bishop of Bradford, about Calling and Mission.

Did you know that that Church of England seeks to be active in 5 distinct areas of mission? These are to proclaim the Good News, nurture new believers, care for those in need, transform unjust structures, and to safeguard God’s good creation. Which do you feel most drawn to and why? Come and hear from The Rt Revd Dr Toby Howarth, Bishop of Bradford, on why all five marks of mission are central to living out the gospel, and what that might look like in the Diocese of Leeds in 2025 and beyond. Whether you see yourself as an evangelist or a missionary, whether you think you are an activist or a teacher, it is sure to be a formative evening as we Explore Vocations Together.

We gather at 7pm and we will finish no later than 9pm. Tea and Coffee will be provided.

Bradford Cathedral

Bradford's beautiful Cathedral is a hidden jewel waiting to be discovered. Set in tranquil gardens the Cathedral is alive with a sense of story from its thirteen centuries at the heart of the city.

This, the third church on the site, is over 500 years old, with twentieth century additions. Bradford's most ancient place of worship is friendly, peaceful and fascinating, with many special features.

The parish of Cathedral Church of St. Peter Bradford is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer(s), PSOs. The Diocese of Leeds’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advise our PSOs. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services.
