The Sunday morning service (9 March 2025] at St John the Evangelist commemorated and celebrated the installation of the bells in St John's in 1975. The bells came from St Mary's Lambeth.During the service:- two of our ringers, Alan and Noel, read lessons- there was a talk: Noel made a brief introduction, focusing mainly on our band of ringers and trailing Milica’s talk on the bells themselves; Milica, using extensive research, dove down into the history of St Mary's bells that later became St John's Bells- there was ringing while communion was being taken- the vicar, Jaimée, blessed / rededicated the bells and bell ringers from the ringing chamber- after the service and during the refreshments we rang call changesFor the truly dedicated extensive highlights (34 minutes) are available.
