On Saturday 22 August, several residents of Woodland Terrace, Charlton, had to be evacuated from their homes after their frontages partially collapsed. One of the residents contacted churchwarden Jim Kinsella to ask if they could stay in the church. Without hesitation, Jim, his wife Sheila and Revd Canon Liz Newman helped provide somewhere for the residents to stay.
