He came, he saw, he wore a pointy hat! It was great to have Bishop Gavin, Bishop of Dorchester and the modern successor to St Birinus with us to celebrate the <a></a>latter's saint's day last Sunday! 23 villagers showed up to the service which went really well and actually as planned! The children iced St Birinus gingerbread and there was lots of chatting over coffee and chocolate brownies afterwards! Fantastic flower arranging and thanks not only to the arrangers but also those who allowed their gardens to be raided!
We are thinking of starting a South Moreton Flower Club! The idea would be to have some fun and give a reason to get together with neighbours to acquire a new skill, the art of flower arranging! The hope is that, after a bit of tuition and guidance we could provide floral arrangements for the monthly services in <a href="https://www.facebook.com/SouthMoretonChurch?__cft__[0]=AZX7ji0f5qUny8WgZC4Lo_HkPlTRvXdRDqQsuME4tJw79_-9B0BNjJpjJQxZbGeqtf-88io_YZ3tDD6X5dWb3uysub9S_l02vRCKtaslducjlRzzY63N7w23nMuljf6AC7qGWpniP6BMdQDjBhGo2sem&__tn__=-]K-R">South Moreton Church</a> and have an annual flower show there in the summer. We think it is 50 years since we last had a Bishop at our church, SO PLEASE COME AND GIVE HIM A BIG SOUTH MORETON WELCOME! There will be arts and crafts for the kids in South Aisle and please stay for coffee, biscuits and a chat with Bishop Gavin afterwards!
