This year’s sponsored event was on Saturday 9th September – money raised will be divided equally between The Oxford Historic Churches Trust and Holy Trinity Church West Hendred.
This year we raised £657 with Holy Trinity Church receiving £328-50. OHCT says a thank you for all your past support and encouragement – it is greatly appreciated.
A total of at least 9 st/riders visited the church, signing in by the church porch, as there was a wedding was in the afternoon.OHCT have always been very supportive of us. In August 2020 OHCT awarded Holy Trinity a grant of £1,000 towards replacement of a wall plate along the south side of the Tower bell chamber, and in February 2021 they also awarded a grant of £7,000 towards the urgent repairs to the North Aisle roof supports.
In June 2023 OHCT very generously awarded a feasibility grant of £1,100 which is for the entire net cost of a Structural Engineer’s inspection and report of the Bell Frame and its supports.
