A short Night Prayer on zoom.
On Wednesday evenings in Lent - except 4th and 5th weeks of Lent, when it's on Thursday 19th March, Thursday 26th March.
The service’s duration is about 15 or so minutes.
For very many years there has been Compline/ Night Prayer services at Holy Trinity Church, West Hendred in Advent and Lent. The services have been held in the church on Wednesday evenings, at either 6-30pm, or 7pm.
In the most recent years, especially since Covid, the number of attendees has dropped to being very low.
This Lent, we’re continuing to hold the services as “Church at Home” on zoom, following on from Advent in 2025 when we commenced on Zoom.
Attached is the Night Prayer order of service, which is very close to the one used in the Night Prayer services in years past. It commences with the Blessing of the Light. Psalm 143 is substituted for Psalm 91, as Psalm 143 is in the CofE’s order of service
