Flegg Parish Churches Team Alpha Course 2026

Alpha is an opportunity to explore life and the Christian faith in a friendly, open, and informal environment.

Never really understood the Christian faith or been to Church? Maybe you gave up on it a long time ago? Alpha was designed for you, or anyone who doesn’t go to church much, if at all. It’s also a great ‘basics course’ for those who want to understand the Christian faith better.

Each session starts with dessert, followed by a video including discussion times where you can share your thoughts. There’s no pressure, and no charge.

All are welcome as we gather to celebrate Revd Hannah's ordination to the priesthood as she celebrates Communion for the first time, followed by a Bring and Share lunch.

Have you got a favourite hymn? We have 2 Summer Songs of Praise evening services in Church this summer. If you’d like us to sing your favourite hymn at either of these then message Revd Debs on 07954338902 with your hymn choice and a short explanation of why. Or simply come along and enjoy the services...all welcome! Along with singing we'll be sharing a few words about the history of each hymn chosen.

Every Saturday, from May 23rd until September 5th (excluding Music Festival concert days and Sat 13th June), live music with Simon at the piano - all welcome. Donations gratefully received for church funds.

Concluding our Summer Music Festival, we are hosting a Come and Sing Workshop day, featuring Faure's 'Requiem'. Led by Festival Director Simon Kenworthy. If you've not sung it before, an ability to read music will be helpful but is not essential for this relaxed workshop. Cost £10 per person, plus £2 to hire a score for the day (we are using the OUP version so please bring your own score if you have it, or register to hire one of ours).
