Raffle prizes: We would really appreciate any raffle prizes you can donate for our fundraising events all year round. We are holding an Easter Raffle this year, so any donations of Easter Eggs or any sort of Easter gifts will be gratefully accepted. Winners will be announced on Easter Sunday and tickets will be on sale on Sunday 8th March for £1 each. All money raised will be for church funds for the ministry and mission of St Chads.
High Road Evangelism: We will be going out on the High Road on Saturday 21st March to give out our invitations to Easter services and to give out Easter eggs. If you have not done this before, please feel welcome to come along and join us. we'd love to have you along and will show you what to do. It's all about meeting with the community and hopefully striking up some good conversations. Meet in the hall kitchen at 11am.
Shoebox Campaign: Thank you to everybody who supports our Shoebox Campaign. Monthly collections are as follows:
March: Toothpaste and tooth-brushes
April: Colouring pencils, crayons, note book, erasers, sharpeners.
May: Small toys (tennis balls, yoyos. cars, dolls, small games etc)
June and July: Sweets
August: Back to soap and flannels and toothpaste
Sept: Teddies and soft toys
Oct: Gloves, hats and scarves
Nov: Pencils, crayons, colouring/note books
Are you or anyone you know struggling after a breakup? Restored Lives runs courses to help people recover from heartbreak. A new course starts on 19th January, for more details see our Restored Lives page on our website.
Volunteering: We are always looking for volunteers to take part in Sunday Services; reading, intercessions and serving refreshments after church. We also need people to learn how to run the vision and sound for services. If you are available during the week, there are always volunteer opportunities -help with jobs in the church, MCC, Coffee Shop, building maintenance - and we would welcome you with open arms! We are also looking for people to help with the Walk of Witness on Good Friday - we are looking for musicians, readers, help with refreshments and stewards to guide the walk. Table Tennis: Fancy a bit of informal Ping Pong fun? Then come along to the church hall on a Wednesday evening from 7.15 to 8.45pm. All ages, all standards, friendly, informal, fun activity. Cheaper than chips at £1 per session for those age 16 or over. Under 16’s free but must be accompanied first time. Ask Graham on Tech Team for info or call the church office.
Flowers in church: If you would appreciate flowers in church in memory of a loved one, or for any special occasion, please contact the office to arrange (020 8597 8076). A pedestal in the front entrance of the church with a note of dedication will cost £30.
Foodbank donations: Please support the food bank if you can, with any non-perishable foods, toiletries and baby items, including nappies of all sizes. Donations can be brought to the church office on weekdays (except Thursday) between 10am and 12 noon, or to church on a Sunday.
