Table Tennis: Fancy a bit of informal Ping Pong fun? Then come along to the church hall on a Wednesday evening from 7.15 to 8.45pm. All ages, all standards, friendly, informal, fun activity. Cheaper than chips at £1 per session for those age 16 or over. Under 16’s free but must be accompanied first time. Ask Graham on Tech Team for info or call the church office on 020 8597 8076.
Church Family BBQ: Sunday 7th September, Church Family BBQ in the church garden, after 10.45am service. It will be a bring and share, so please either bring something that can be cooked on the barbecue or a salad/buns/cold drinks. Please sign the sheet at the back of the church so that we know if we need to get any extras. This will also be Lucinda, Bob and Nick Crowther’s last Sunday with us, so please come along to wish them happiness in their new home.
Fundraising meeting: Would you like to get involved in the planning and organising of things such as the Jumble Sale? If so, please come along to our next Fundraising meeting on Thursday 11th September at 7.30pm in the Prayer Room. New members and new ideas always welcome.
Flowers in church: If you would appreciate flowers in church in memory of a loved one, or for any special occasion, please contact the office to arrange (020 8597 8076). A pedestal in the front entrance of the church with a note of dedication will cost £30.

Curates ordination: Please pray for Deji and Peter as they prepare for their ordination on Sunday 14th September at Chelmsford Cathedral at 2pm. Everybody is welcome to attend. Please be aware that parking is an issue at the Cathedral so give yourself plenty of time. There are a few spaces left on the minibus if you need a lift. Please hold them both close in your prayers as they attend their pre-ordination retreat and for them and for their families as they prepare for ordination.
Blessings: This year, for a change, our ‘Blessings’ project will be poppies for Remembrance Day instead of our usual Christmas blessings. Patterns for crocheted, sewn, knitted and felt poppies are available from church or the church office.
Shoeboxes: See our website for what we are collecting each month for our shoebox campaign. Please keep your shoeboxes for us too and thank you for supporting this wonderful charity.
Foodbank donations: Please support the food bank if you can, with any non-perishable foods, toiletries and baby items, including nappies of all sizes. Donations can be brought to the church office on weekdays (except Thursday) between 10am and 12 noon, or to church on a Sunday.
