Our Vision

At St. Chad’s our vision is simple – we want to be more like “Christ, Inside and Out”.

We are a family church who centre ourselves on the life and teachings of Jesus, welcoming people from any walk of life, and inviting them to journey with us deeper into Christ. We live in the wonder of God’s creation of the world and of humanity, and we seek, by the power of the Holy Spirit, to live in his love and blessings, and to share that love and blessing with the wider world.

How do we try to do that?

By centring ourselves on Christ and by trying to live as the church that Jesus launched in the New Testament.

I am the bread of life

Acts Ch2: v46 says this:- “They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favour of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.”

They broke bread

“Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfector of our faith” (Hebrews Ch12: v2)

At St Chad’s we remember what Jesus did for us on the cross, and try to draw closer to him through prayer, worship, study and an openness to the Holy Spirit.

.....And ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God.

Living Stones

You also are like living stones being built into a spiritual house, to be a holy priesthood. (1 Peter Ch2: v5)

We are a worshipping family church in which each member is valued for who they are, and where there is a place for all. We celebrate togetherness and enjoy fun, life and learning as one.

.......Enjoying the favour of all the people, And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.

And you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria and to the ends of the earth. (Acts Ch1: v8)

Jesus Is The Way We want to enjoy the favour of the people, because we reach out to them with Christ’s love. At St Chad’s we believe that the local church really can make a difference to people’s lives, and that as Christ’s church here, we are called to that work - both in Chadwell Heath and in the wider world.

We really do want to embody ‘Christ, Inside and Out.’

If our vision of church is your vision of church, then why not join us and embrace our Lord’s teachings and passions for life with us.
