Church of England Diocese of Southwark East Greenwich

St George's, Westcombe Park

St George’s is a Church of England parish church which serves the local community of Westcombe Park and Charlton in Southeast London. We are located at the corner of Glenluce Road and Kirkside Road (close to Westcombe Hill), a short distance from Westcombe Park railway station, and close to the Kirkside Road bus stop.

Our worship style includes both Protestant and Catholic elements, using text from Common Worship. We have a pipe organ and a volunteer choir, and we like to sing a mixture of traditional Anglican and contemporary hymns and songs. St George's is part of the East Greenwich Team Ministry, which also includes Christ Church, East Greenwich and Holy Trinity, Greenwich Peninsula.

We believe in inclusive Church - church which does not discriminate, on any level, on grounds of economic power, gender, mental health, physical ability, race or sexuality. We believe in Church which welcomes and serves all people in the name of Jesus Christ; which is scripturally faithful; which seeks to proclaim the Gospel afresh for each generation; and which, in the power of the Holy Spirit, allows all people to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Jesus Christ.  Join us!
