Beat and Beans

FREE event - live music, a variety of refreshments and space to chat. In January we welcome The Silver Darlings Shanty Crew to entertain us. You are welcome to come and go as you please.
Just in case you've not heard, very sadly Graham, our brilliant organiser of Beat'n'Beans, passed away last May. We are keen to ensure that Graham’s legacy lives on, by continuing with music events on the second Saturday of every month and if you know of any other local music groups who would like to come along and support this community event, please do ask them to get in touch.

Holy Communion

A contemporary service of Holy Communion every 2nd, 4th and 5th Sunday at 11am. Refreshments served both before (from10:30am) and after the service.

Messy Church (at St. Barnabas)

Messy Church is a way of being Church for families and others. It is Christ-centred, for all ages, based on creativity, hospitality and celebration. There are activities to get involved in, a Bible story and a meal to enjoy together. Everything is free to partake in, though donations are always welcome. There will be no meeting in August.

Kettle's On

Holy Communion

Modern service with hymns and a sermon. Please join us for refreshments after the service.
PLEASE NOTE that as from November 2025, the Wednesday Holy Communion service will resume being a weekly event and we look forward to welcoming regular attendees and newcomers alike as Rev Mark takes up his ministry among us.

ALPHA Course

Alpha is for anyone who's curious to explore the Christian faith in a friendly, open and informal environment. Each session starts with getting to know one another over a cup of tea/coffee and some refreshments, followed by a video or talk exploring an aspect of the Christian faith such as "Who is Jesus?", "How does God guide us?" In small discussion groups afterwards you can share your thoughts if you want to and hear from others. There is no charge for Alpha - it's completely free and everyone's welcome. There's no pressure and no follow-up - come for the first week for a taster.
