Church of England Diocese of Chelmsford Little Maplestead

Little Maplestead: St John the Baptist

Welcome to our unique Round Church, the only one of its kind to be found in a rural setting. The church is open every day and visitors are very welcome. Set in beautiful North Essex countryside, please do take the time to visit our church, be it for private prayer, quiet reflection or simply to enjoy and absorb the tranquility of our fabulous church.

The parish of Little Maplestead: St John the Baptist is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer (PSO). The Diocese of Chelmsford’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advise our PSOs. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services.

We are committed to safeguarding children, young people, and vulnerable adults. The PCC has adopted the Church of England’s policies and best practice on safeguarding which may be found on the Church of England’s website here

Our Parish Safeguarding Officer is Philippa Mills, who may be contacted on 01787 460578 or email [email protected]
