Getting here

St Stephen’s is a small friendly church situated opposite Paul’s the upholsterers shop on the A22.  The entrance is set back off the main road, so as not to miss the entrance it is just past the traffic lights on the right. If you are travelling south as you pass the Shell garage you have missed the entrance, turn into the station entrance and travel north but be careful as you approach as the entrance has an awkward  approach from this direction.  It is about 3 minutes walk up the hill from the Godstone railway station.

There are three Common Worship Holy Communions a month on Sundays, on the fourth Sunday of each month an All Age Worship Service set in a friendly atmosphere in cafe style and sometimes it has Holy Communion as part of the service as well.

Children are welcome to all the services and a crèche  is available if required.

St. Stephens was built originally as Godstone Station School, and part of it was a Chapel. It opened for worship on 20th December 1869 and teaching began on 28th February 1870.  It was dedicated as a church on 31st October 1959 when the current village school opened in Hunters Chase. The church is available for all Services and has various rooms for functions and activities.
