Getting here

Welcome to St Nicholas Church, Rawreth in Essex.

We are a small rural Church of England church between Chelmsford, Basildon and Southend-on-Sea.

Small we may be, but at the moment we are very aware of our history.  Rawreth was the home of Lancelot Andrews who made a vital contribution to the translation of the King James Bible, published for the first time just 450 years ago this year.

We would love to see you at any of our services.  Our main weekly worship is a service of Holy Communion at 10 am on Sundays.  We also have small services of Morning and Evening prayer on Monday to Friday at 9am and 5pm.  Only a couple of us are able to make these services so please do check  before coming because work or holidays can mean that occasional services have to be cancelled.

Not sure what our services are all about? Why not come and see; you would be really welcome and we could chat about any questions or comments you have over coffee afterwards.

St Nicholas is a great place for Weddings and Baptisms and you would be really welcome.  There are things that we would need to check out and talk about so please do get in touch as soon as possible so that we can meet up and talk about your service.
