Sung Eucharist with Nursery Church and Junior Church

Occuring
Every Sunday at for 1 hour
Venue
Wanstead Parish: Christ Church
Address
Wanstead Parish: Christ Church, Wanstead Place Wanstead, E11 2SW, United Kingdom

Our 9.30am Eucharist (otherwise known as Holy Communion or The Mass) is a service for everyone in the family. We make full use of our church building and our two church halls next door to ensure that, whether you are an adult or a child, there is something going on for you.

For adults, the service in the church building blends choral music, incense and liturgy with readings from the Bible and teaching on the Word of God.

For young families, Nursery Church (in the Parish Hall) includes fun songs, stories and play - ideal for those under the age of five and their parents.

For those five and up, Junior Church, run by our specialist youth workers, is a great mix of fun and lively activities. Young people can be safely left with our experienced leaders, whilst adults enjoy the main service.

All this culminates in everyone coming together in church to receive communion and being sent back out into the world again (or, at least, sent to the Parish Hall for a cup of coffee!).

The service lasts for one hour and is an experience of relaxed formality! We take our faith and worship seriously, but we hopefully don't take ourselves too seriously...

We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer(s), PSOs. The Diocese of Chelmsford’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advise our PSOs. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services.
