The Kent Police Male Voice Choir have kindly offered to perform a concert in the Upper Church on Saturday 28th May at 7.30 pm to help raise funds for our church. It will be an enjoyable medley of music to suit all tastes. There will be a licensed bar, a raffle and ample opportunity for us all to meet each other in a relaxed and sociable way - just what we need after more than two years of restrictions! Tickets are £10 each and can be purchased from Valerie Marianni, Sue Bottle, Pauline Hawker, Derek Hollweg, Heather Hughes, John Smith and Biddy Willson, as well as from Barnes Kingsnorth, the estate agent in the High Street Pembury. We hope to see you there
The village is holding a picnic in the park to celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee on Sunday 5th June in the recreation ground. Together with the Baptist and Catholic Churches we have been asked to provide and serve tea and cakes from the Pavillion between 2 & 6 pm. Its going to be a full day, as we’ll be celebrating Pentecost in the morning!
If you would like to contribute to the foodbank run by Hope Churches Together in Pembury and operated from the Baptist Church, we have a collection box in the Narthex for food items. These items are taken weekly to the foodbank.
