We have a portable ramp that can be placed in position at the main entrance to the church.

Music and Worship

With regular Monthly Lunchtime Recitals (except in August) - on the last Friday of each month at 1pm. Free admission, with retiring collection. Refreshments.

Evensong held throughout the year at published times.

The organ at St John's is a classic example of the late 19th century. The organ was built in 1878 by Alfred Hunter and then rebuilt by Mander in 1948.

St John's choir consists of dedicated singers of all ages.
Our Organist and Director of Music is Mr Jack Stone.


Groups, Courses and Activities

Brownies

First Friday Club meets on the first Friday of each month in the Church from 1pm to 2.30pm.
Refreshments, Cuppa Soups, Tea, Coffee & Biscuits are available ( requested donation: £1 ).
Or bring along your own lunch.
Pop in for friendly chat or a game of cards, scrabble, dominoes, chess.

Mothers' Union meet on the 3rd Tuesday of each month at 1.30pm (for approximately 1hr 30minutes)

We have a Senior Social Club for those aged 60+. We meet on the last Thursday of each month* in the Church from 1pm to 3pm.
* In December we meet one week earlier than usual, for a pre-Christmas party.
