Lewisham, St Mary the Virgin

We are a vibrant, diverse, inclusive Anglican parish in the heart of Lewisham. Come and join us for our Family Mass, every Sunday at 10 am; details of Children's and Youth Church can be found on the website. St Mary the Virgin is the ancient parish of Lewisham, and there has been a church on the site for over 1,000 years. The buildings and grounds are full of historic and significant monuments and memorials, but they are also home to a vibrant and worshipping community which has a focus on engaging with and serving local communities across Lewisham.

Safeguarding

Our parish of Lewisham: St Mary is committed to safeguarding children, young people and adults from harm. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer (PSO). Our Diocese of Southwark’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor who advises our PSO. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the PSO or the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor both of whose details can be found here - https://new.lewishamparish.com/safeguarding. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority’s children or adult social care services."
