This year St. Peter’s Church supported Hidden Homeless as its Harvest Charity. This is a small local organisation run solely by volunteers with the only administration cost being rental of some storage space
On Wednesday and Saturday evenings volunteers take out hot food (meat and vegetarian) for about 100 people. The majority are sleeping rough and remainder either sofa surfing or in temporary accommodation with no food. They are also provided with hot drinks and a pack up with food and drink to help them until the following evening when another charity does the outreach.
Hidden Homeless help in other ways too, providing tents, sleeping bags, clothing and support in many different ways
