We are looking for a new Director of Music to lead our music at All Saints, working with our Assistant Organist to develop, lead and grow the choir.
Principal duties include directing the choir at the 10.00 a.m. Sung Eucharist each Sunday and at other festivals and Holy Days (some on weekdays, some on Sunday evenings), and leading choir practices on Friday evenings. A fuller job description is attached.
The organ at All Saints is a rebuild of the three-manual Hill instrument originally installed at St Andrew’s, Croydon. It was modernised by T C Lewis in 1906 and rebuilt for All Saints in 2012 by F H Browne & Sons of Canterbury. Further details of the organ can be found here: https://npor.org.uk/survey/V00169
The church has a good quality Yamaha grand piano, tuned frequently.
The Director of Music's annual salary is £9,700 (plus fees), and there is an entitlement to six weeks (six Sundays) paid leave per calendar year.
