The Church of South India (CSI) Birmingham Unit celebrated their first Holy Eucharist Service on Saturday the 23rd of April at St Thomas’ church. The service was led the Bishop of Central Kerala Diocese and was attended by around 35 members of Church of South India and some members from St Thomas’. During the sermon which was based on Genesis 28:16, “Surely the Lord is in this place, and I was not aware of it.” the Bishop called upon the congregation to recognise the importance of identifying the presence of God in our midst. After the service, the Bishop’s 35th anniversary of ordination and also 35th wedding anniversary were celebrated with a lovely lunch.

Let us know what you would like to do.This is a new initiative funded by Yardley Neighbourhood Network Scheme for people aged 50 plus. It is delivered by Arts in the Yard. All newcomers and expert artists and crafters are welcome

This is part of our provisions for people aged 50+. Yoga builds strength, balance and stability which improves fitness and prevents falls. It also aids wellbeing helping us to feel calmer and less stressed.If you fancy the full session come for a 9.30 ; it is suitable for absolute beginners but if you prefer a shorter session with support come to the chair session at 11.00.
