About Us

St John's New Malden (St John the Divine, to use our full name) is an Anglican church situated in the residential suburbs of London between New Malden and Kingston upon Thames.

Throughout the years since our foundation as a mission church in 1885 we at St John's have strived to serve God faithfully in the local community and have aimed to present God's amazing love to those around us.

St John's aims to welcome and serve our local community and has a strong sense of family. It's an evangelical church within the Church of England.

The area around St John's in Kingston Road, about half way between Kingston and New Malden, has changed a lot since then. But inside the 20th century church building, the strength of commitment is as firm as ever - you are very welcome to join us.

Our activities during the week include: Sundays at 10:30 held in church and streamed live. Tots in tow - Mondays 10.00-11.30 am; Young at Heart 1st Thursday 12.30-16.00 (lunch & activities) & 3rd Thursday 13.30-15.00 (exploring faith);  Wednesday evenings - 1st, Prayer & Praise 8pm; 2nd & 4th, Compline (on Zoom); 3rd, Prayer Meeting.

St John's is the hub church for the Kingston and Wimbledon CAP (Christians Against Poverty) Debt Centre.

We have a social programme throughout the year; church hall and rooms are also available for hire - details on our website (www.sjnm.org)
