Our second art exhibition, which concluded on Sunday 17th September, was a great success, building on last year's event. This year we had 15 exhibitors and well over 100 exhibits: original paintings, prints, photographs and some ingenious sculptures fashioned from discarded metal tools, as well as knitted craft-items. The refreshments stall was busy. We had over 150 visitors, many of whom bought art-work and made donations. Our visitors were impressed by the variety and quality of the work on show: "What a lot of talent in our local villages!" People bumped into friends, some of whom they hadn't seen for years, so this was a great social event as well as a useful fund-raiser (over £1250!) for our badly-damaged church hall. Our thanks go to the exhibitors, helpers who staffed the church during the exhibition, and our visitors.
