Church of England Diocese of St.Albans Potton

Potton: St Mary the Virgin

It is with the greatest pleasure and with joy  that we inform you of the appointment of the Reverend Alex Wheatley to be our new Rector to fill the vacancy following the Reverend Gill Smith's retirement in August 2019.

We look forward to welcoming Rev Alex and his family, and in particular his licensing on 24th March 2021

Thankfully the threat posed by Covid 19 is beginning to recede, but there are still precautionary measures in place including the occasional Zoom service.

HERE IS A REMINDER ON HOW TO ACCESS ZOOM SERVICES:

If you do not have the ZOOM app on your device (PC, Tablet etc), download the App from your usual App source and register. It is FREE!

Once you have done that, open the App and follow the instructions on the screen and you will be asked for the Meeting number which you must enter where shown.<div>

The meeting number for all our Services is 863 9040 6733.  No password is required

Join the meeting when invited. You will be given an opportunity to check your audio and Video set up if required. There are a few options for video set up to make your picture look better if you wish to experiment! When you join the meeting, make sure you enable both audio and video by clicking the Icons in the bottom left corner of the screen, if they have a red line through them.

If you are new to Zoom, we look forward to seeing you at our services in future.

PLEASE NOTE OUR "SERVICES AND EVENTS" PAGE IS ON HOLD.  The temporary service pattern is available in the News and Notices section.

We give thanks that the vaccines are proving effective, in the hope that we can all return in safety to worship in the Benefice's beautiful churches.
