St. Peter's proclaims the traditional Christian faith. The character of the sacramental services is moderately catholic with a prayerful sense of reverence for the mysteries of God. The preaching is biblical and rooted in the understanding of the faith inherited from the Apostles and the early church fathers.
We use both the modern services of Common Worship and the traditional Book of Common Prayer. In addition, the Family Service offers worship of a more informal variety. We endeavour to offer a broad range of worship, from the quiet and prayerful through to the modern and energetic!
St. Peter's is affiliated to the Society under the patronage of St. Wilfred and St. Hilda and to Forward in Faith. This ensures the parish is inclusive of Christians of all backgrounds, and everyone can share in unity in the sacrament of the Eucharist in good conscience and full confidence. The parish is under the episcopal care of the Bishop of Richborough.
