About Us

St Paul's Church, St Albans, is the local parish church for the Fleetville area of St Albans.

St Paul’s Church, Fleetville, St Albans, has welcomed Diane and Jono Tregale as together they take on the role of Vicar at the Hatfield Road church.

A warm welcome awaits you, whatever your age, background or previous experience of church. We are a lively church with more than 400 members (including children and young people) across our Sunday Services and aim to grow and equip people to be effective Christians in their daily life.

We are an evangelical church, believing firmly in the vital importance of the Bible - God's word - in our worship, teaching and lifestyle. The Bible explains how everyone can enjoy a relationship with the living God, and this is our key objective.

Our 10.30am worship service is held in church each Sunday, and our 8.30am Holy Communion service is in church, and both services are on our YouTube channel.

We are a charismatic church, pursuing the love, power and gifts of the Holy Spirit as vital to being able to live and function as a Christian. We believe in God’s power to heal and set people free from what binds them and in caring for the poor.

We seek to follow the example of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Saviour, and to share the Christian gospel with as many people as possible. To this end, we hold regular Alpha courses and other events to introduce people to Jesus Christ.

We have a range of groups and courses to help people grow and develop their faith and get to know others. We have a network of  homegroups, and interest groups including a Wednesday morning drop-in, walking groups and a gardening group.

Through the work of The Lantern services we aim to meet the personal, social and emotional needs of members of our community so that each individual can live life to the full.

We are part of the Church of England, St Albans Diocese, as well as the New Wine Network.
