Our Building

Dating from the early 12th century, St Mary's has examples of architecture from this and each subsequent period. Numerous fine monuments to the Edwards, Raynsford and other families occupy much space on the walls and a rare pillar piscina survives from the earliest building.

Music and Worship

A peal of eight bells dating back to the 17th century are rung regularly for services. Practice night Tuesday at 8pm. New ringers and visitors welcome.

The Henlow Singers and other groups/ensembles give concerts from time to time. Please check for details.

Two organs - a 19th century two-manual + pedals pipe organ by J & A Trustam and an Allen digital organ of 2010. Visiting organists welcome.

Evensong (on the second Sunday of the month) is from the Book of Common Prayer.

An enthusiastic SATB choir, currently with 12 members, sings at most Sunday services and festivals. The choir is RSCM affiliated. Choir practice is on Tuesday evening from 7pm - 8pm. New members always welcome - please contact the choirmaster, James Burgess, for more details.
