A simple 'said' service of Holy Communion

A service of Holy Communion, using the 'Common Worship' liturgy (modern language). Do then stay for our 'café-style' refreshments afterwards.
Held weekly in the Windhill Churches Centre, Tiny Tots is for parents/carers and babies/preschoolers in term time; and older children/siblings are very welcome during inset days and school holidays. We start with playtime and tea/coffee, then songs, stories, activities and a prayer. There’s easy buggy access and baby change facilities, and you’re welcome to bring a packed lunch if you like. It’s also ok to be late, we understand! We look forward to welcoming you soon!

Today we celebrate our Patronal Festival: St Michael. We have a service of Parish Communion and will celebrate using the words from the Book of Common Prayer; then all are invited to share in refreshments, including a Bring and Share Lunch, afterwards.
Our main service, especially for Harvest using modern language, with hymns and a sermon, and with a session for children/young people and their families. Our Harvest Appeal will be for the work of Church Mission Society (CMS) and Chris will be joining us via Zoom during the service to tell us more about his work. Donations of foodstuffs and essentials may be given for Bishop's Stortford Foodbank.
An opportunity to be able to join in with tea and talk, read the paper, play board games … and a regular 10/15 minute presentation on wide ranging interests. Later in the afternoon we welcome families after school for a short while, to share in reading/play and enjoy a biscuit/cake/fruit snack.

We will be observing Remembrance Sunday around the church war memorial as part of our 10am Parish Communion. All are most welcome to join us for our 10am service. Our Godly Play session will include Remembrance crafts for children to place at the foot of the memorial.
A special reflective choral service for the First Sunday of Advent, with readings, prayers, hymns, organ music and anthems from the Choir.
All proceeds go to local, national and international charities supported by our church's Charities Support Group.

A service particularly for younger children and their families; children may come dressed as a character from the Nativity
