MUSIC
"Flights of Fancy" Choral and instrumental concert with readings (All Saints Church, Sandon; Saturday 11th July, 7.30pm) - Tickets £20, £10 for students & income support, to include refreshments; please bring cash for raffle tickets to win a unique framed picture of the Clothall Birds.
Live jazz evening from the Gabriel Taylor quintet, featuring music by Charlie “Bird” Parker (The Cricketers, Weston; Friday 9th October, 7.30pm) - Tickets £25 to include canapés (available from June) - pub menu also available.
Advent Carols: Service of the Word with music and readings by candlelight (Clothall Church; Sat 28th November 6pm) - Open to all; mulled wine and nibbles after the service.
ARTS
Stained-glass cutting day workshop – led by Hicca Glass (Clothall Village Hall; Saturday 26th September) - Tickets limited to 8 places, £90 to include all materials and refreshments.
Stained-glass painting day workshop – led by conservator Rachel Arnold (Venue tbc - Clothall Village Hall unavailable; Saturday 17th October) - Tickets limited to 8 places, £90 to include all materials and refreshments.
Christmas Fair – a new range of gifts and products on sale featuring the Clothall birds, as well as stalls from many local artists and craftspeople (Clothall Village Hall; Sun 15th November, 2-5pm) No ticket entry, but please come with plenty of cash and cards to make purchases! Home made teas.
PAST ACTIVITIES
Children’s bird art event – led by artist & children’s illustrator Alison Gates (Clothall Village Hall; Thursday 2nd April, 10am-12pm) - Tickets £5 per child on the door to include refreshments (parents must remain with children at all times).
Quiz night with a bird theme, with supper (Clothall Village Hall; Sat 9th May, 7pm) - Teams of up to 6, Tickets £15 per head. FULLY BOOKED
