As we prepare for our Lenten journey, we begin with the imposition of ashes, the sign of the cross.
A reflective service with bible readings and a short homily, led by the Archdeacon of Hertford, the Venerable Janet Mackenzie.

Our Eucharist service includes bible readings, a sermon, given by one of the clergy team, traditional hymns and prayers.

Everyone is welcome to join us and we serve tea/coffee after the service and take the opportunity to catch up with each other.

You are warmly invited to this special Choral Evensong with a combined choir of singers, and a congregation drawn from churches across the Buntingford Deanery. The service will be led by incumbents and laity from multiple benefices and parishes. Refreshments will be served after.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION FOR CHOIRS AND SINGERS WISHING TO PARTICIPATE:
Singers can join rehearsals for the combined choir from 2.15pm for a
2.30pm start. There will be a choir tea at about 4.15pm. Robes optional.

Every Wednesday morning, we pray together using the Church of England Daily Prayer app, with bible readings, a reflection and a psalm.
It is a quiet, gentle gathering to prepare for the day ahead.

The service includes bible readings, prayers, hymns and a talk by one of the ministry team. Children are welcome in our dedicated play space in the Children's room.
We don't have a communion in this service. If you would like to receive Holy Communion today, this is available at our church of St Peter's, Buntingford.

Bellringing will be taking place at St Mary the Virgin today.

There will be bellringing today at St Mary the Virgin between 5-6pm.

We will gather at the village green at 9.15am to process to the church with our palm crosses to remember Jesus' final entry into Jerusalem. There will be hymns and a dramatic reading of the gospel in this service.

A service including a simple communion and the washing of feet as we remember Jesus' last day with his friends.

Alleluia, He is risen!
Come and celebrate this special resurrection day with us. There will be an Easter Egg hunt in the church yard following the service.

We are delighted to host this Buntingford Live event. By popular demand, Director of Music, Andrew O'Brien is bringing a group of talented young musicians from St Edmund's College for a musical evening including solo and ensemble pieces.

The Art Show, previously held in the Village Hall, returns this year in St Mary the Virgin church. Supporting local artists, there will be many pictures available on sale. Refreshments available too.

Come along and join us for our sponsored Hymnathon on Saturday 13th June 2026
10am - 4pm. Come and sing or simply enjoy the music.
Hymns will be sponsored in aid of Homestart, St Peter’s Church, Buntingford, St Mary’s, Aspenden, St Peter’s, Buntingford, & St Mary the Virgin, Westmill.
Refreshments will be available throughout the day.
