Confirmation

Confirmation marks the point in a person’s Christian journey when they affirm the promises made at their baptism by their parents and godparents, ‘confirming’ for themselves the faith into which they have been baptised and their intention to live a life of Christian discipleship. During the service, the bishop lays his hands on the candidate and asks God to give them the grace and power through the Holy Spirit to enable them to live this life.

Preparation for confirmation takes the form of a series of classes. There are usually two sets of classes; those for teenagers and those for adults. If you wish to prepare for confirmation please contact us and ask to speak to Rev'd Eugene.
