The Clewer Initiative Talk on Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking

Occurring
for 2 hours
Venue
Nigel Copping Community Building
Address
88 Sanville Gardens, Stanstead Abbotts, Hertfordshire, SG12 8GA

We’re pleased to invite you to an upcoming talk organised for The 3 Churches Benefice on Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking.

We’ll be joined by Lois from The Clewer Initiative, an organisation that works with churches and communities to raise awareness of modern slavery and human trafficking, and to help people recognise and respond to exploitation.
Modern slavery can be hidden in plain sight and can affect communities of all kinds.

The Clewer Initiative states that more than 122,000 men, women and children are currently trapped in modern slavery in the UK. This will be an opportunity to learn more about this important issue and the work being done to tackle it.

Everyone is welcome, and we’d love to see people from across our churches and wider community there.

St John the Baptist

Welcome to St John the Baptist, Great Amwell’s Parish Church.

St John the Baptist is part of the Great Amwell with St Margarets and Stanstead Abbots Benefice. Our 3 Churches Benefice covers three villages with four churches, so we are blessed to be able to provide a variety of services. St John the Baptist, beautifully set above the New River, enjoys a more formal style of worship.
