Church of England Diocese of St.Albans Essendon and Woodhill

St Mary the Virgin

Welcome to St Mary the Virgin, Essendon, part of the Hartford Hundred West Group of Churches. We look forward to welcoming you to one of our Group Zoom Services, our Wednesday Group Telephone Service, or when services are held at St Mary the Virgin, Essendon.

We would love to hear from you if you are planning a wedding or christening once the current pandemic is over.

Please visit our Group website at www.hartfordhundred.org.uk

The parish of Essendon is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer (PSO). The Diocese of St. Albans’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advise our PSOs. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm, please contact the DSA. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services."
