Welcome to St Andrew's - no one belongs here more than you
Following the example of Jesus, and seeking to model the inclusive love of God, we welcome all people whatever your status, wealth, gender, ethnicity, sexuality, age, health or mobility.
We believe that a church must first be a safe place in which to explore and to fail; where questions are encouraged and everyone is welcome.
Although our building is currently closed, church continues and we remain here with you and here for you. We have weekly services together through Zoom - if you'd like to take part in these services, please get in touch with Phil on the church office email address ([email protected]) so we can add you to our mailing list. Or visit our website to find out more.
There is a national telephone prayer and worship line available to everyone - especially important for those who don't have access to computers or smart phones. Call 0800 804 8044 for a free phone line offering hymns, reflections and prayers 24/7.
When we are able to open the doors to the St Andrew's building again, you will find a prayer space by the main door where there is an opportunity to post prayers and light a candle. You can light a candle at any time at www.cofe.io/LightACandle.
The parish of Hertford St Andrew is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer (PSO). The Diocese of St Albans’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advise our PSOs. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services.
