St Mary's Ware

Welcome to St Mary's Ware

The Church building will usually open from 9am - 5:30pm daily.

Please come in to light a candle, offer your prayers, enjoy a place just to sit and be, or explore the history and art of the building.

Please note: we are expecting to begin some cleaning and redecoration inside the church building from the the 5th September. During that period there will be no access to the church building during the week. Sunday services will take place in church as usual.                                                                                                                                                                            The Hall will remain open as usual, midweek services will move into the Hall or Choir Vestry (room next to the Hall). We will make spaces available for prayer, reflection, children's colouring and so on. During this period Lunchtime Concerts will take place in the Hall.                                                                                                                                                                        Please bear with us while we carry out this important work. A Collect (prayer) for this Sunday

Almighty God, who sent your Holy Spirit to be the life and light of your Church: open our hearts to the riches of your grace, that we may bring forth the fruit of the Spirit in love and joy and peace; through Jesus Christ your Son our Lord, who is alive and reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen

A prayer for the people of Ukraine

The Lord shall give strength to his people; the Lord shall give his people the blessing of peace. (Psalm 29:10)

God of strength and peace, send your blessing on the people of Ukraine.                                                                                       Sustain them in their struggles, hold them in their fear, protect them from all danger and be for them the hope they desire;   for Jesus Christ's sake. Amen                                                                                                                                 (Bp Southwark)

A prayer for all those affected by COVID-19

Keep us, good Lord, under the shadow of your mercy. Sustain and support the anxious, be with those who care for the sick, and lift up all who are brought low, that we may find comfort knowing that nothing can separate us from your love in Christ Jesus our Lord. Amen.
