St Mary's Ware

Welcome to St Mary's Ware

During this current period of national lockdown St Mary's Church building will be open from 10am - 4:50pm each day. There will be occasional closures during the day to allow for recording or livestreaming of worship. Notices will be posted here, on facebook, and on the church doors.

This week the church building will be closed: Wednesday 18th 10:45am – 11:45am.

Please come in to light a candle, offer your prayers, enjoy a place just to sit and be, or explore the history and art of the building.

While we are all still seeking to respond well to the risk from COVID-19 please observe the notices and help keep everyone safe. To leave a prayer on the prayer board you will need to bring your own pen. Please use the hand sanitiser provided and, unless you are exempt, wear a face mask while in the building.

Let us pray:

The Collect (prayer) for this Sunday

Eternal Father, Whose Son Jesus Christ ascended to the throne of heaven that he might rule over all things as Lord and King; keep the Church in the unity of the Spirit and in the bond of peace, and bring the whole created order to worship at his feet; who is alive and reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen.

A prayer for all those affected by COVID-19

Keep us, good Lord, under the shadow of your mercy. Sustain and support the anxious, be with those who care for the sick, and lift up all who are brought low, that we may find comfort knowing that nothing can separate us from your love in Christ Jesus our Lord. Amen.
