There is a sign up sheet in the back of St Mary’s, or you can speak to Marion or Angie to volunteer to help in church, or to Stephanie if you can bake for or help in the Village Hall.Free fraud and cybercrime advice sessions in Ware:Herts Constabulary is offering residents free fraud and cybercrime advice sessions at Ware Library. The event, organised and delivered by specialist Cyber Protect officers from the Serious Fraud and Cyber Unit, is scheduled for Monday 20th April between 11am and 2.15pm. These sessions are free and provide practical tips for avoiding the most common types of fraud and cybercrime. This weekend’s Bible reading:Ezekiel 37:1-14 (p 868)The Crucifixion – this Sunday 6pm at St Mary's:As our Lenten journey continues, do come along to St Mary's this weekend and listen to The Crucifixion by John Stainer. The benefice choir and friends will sing this moving meditation on the passion. Soloists Nathan Collins (Tenor) and Harrison Morton Deaville (Bass) will be joined by Huw Jenkins at the organ. Michael Smith will conduct. This devotional performance will last about an hour. Please feel encouraged to invite others to join us.Building work at All Saints:Approximately 50% of the contracted masonry work has been completed. The roofers will now carry out limited exploratory work on the roofs, under the guidance of a representative of the Bat Conservation Trust. The tombs between the Chapel and the Chancel have been boxed in, and plastic sheeting has been erected in the Chapel, to seal it off from the rest of the building. The impact on the use of the church is minimal, with the loss of one choir pew, and a slightly shortened communion rail. Please take care and be patient with the restrictions.Midweek Music Wednesday 25th March:The next Midweek Music Concert is this coming Wednesday. Refreshments will be served from 11.30am and the concert will start at 12.30. This month's is entitled 'A Concert of Song' and will be given by David Ranford, accompanied by Michael Smith. Do come and support them if you can. The nomination was announced by 10 Downing Street on Thursday morning. Bishop Andrew is currently the Suffragan Bishop of Ramsbury in the Diocese of Salisbury.
