Open Church with Labyrinth

Occuring
Every Monday and Wednesday at for 4 hours
Venue
St Paul's, Roundshaw
Address
Mollison Drive, Roundshaw Estate Wallington, SM6 9HG, United Kingdom

Our church doors will be open as much as possible during Lent for anyone to drop in for a cuppa, take time to sit in the quiet or light a candle, or to walk the labyrinth. Labyrinth walking is an ancient practice of journeying used by peoples of all faiths and none, for spiritual centering, contemplation and prayer. Whatever your beliefs, come spend some time following a clearly marked path on a symbolic form of pilgrimage. There will be some guiding material for those who would find this helpful, and places of quiet around the church to sit with your thoughts, play, write, draw or find a listening ear. Come for 5 minutes or stay as long as the doors are open. All are welcome here.

Whilst these are our current set times the doors will be open at other times so please simply come in.

St Paul's, Roundshaw

St Paul's Roundshaw is one of two churches within our parish, the other being St Michael's in South Beddington. Both churches are in the modern Catholic tradition. St Michael's stands clearly and unashamedly in the Anglo-Catholic tradition, whilst St Paul's offers a somewhat less formal style of worship. Both churches have friendly congregations drawn mainly from the local communities and a number of our parishioners attend services and social activites across the two. We are active in our local community, with strong links to 3rd Beddington Scout Group and growing links with our primary and secondary schools. A weekly lunch club for the elderly at St Paul's as well as a foodbank at St Michael's and Thursday children's club (St Mike's Tykes) at the vicarage are just a few of the ways our faith is lived out in community through the week.

Our doors are Open at both churches across the week (although not currently all day or every day) and you are welcome whether you wish to sit quietly or join with others for prayer, worship and/or activities and chat. For one off special events and services i please check out our website/noticeboards or register for our weekly newsletter by emailing [email protected].
