Invincible Service: The annual service is on Saturday, 15th March at 11.00am, led by Rev'd Coryn. The service starts in church, where standards may be presented, followed by a short service around the memorial stone laid by the PCC. The HMS Invincible Society visit from Beccles to attend, and we offer refreshments afterwards.

On 16th March 1801 HMS Invincible was wrecked off Happisburgh when on her way to join a fleet with Admiral Lord Nelson at Copenhagen. The day following, the Ship sank with the loss of some four hundred lives. One hundred and nineteen members of the Ship's Company lie buried here. "And the sea gave up the dead that were in it". Revelation 20:13 The memorial stone in the churchyard was given jointly by the Parochial Church Council and the officers of the Ship's Company of the HMS Invincible, 1998.
