Introduction
We welcome everyone to our Church and include anyone who is disabled for whatever reason, their families and friends. It is intended to help you to know what can be expected of our buildings and practices.
Parking and approach: There is dedicated car parking outside the main door to the church, with level access to the entrance porch. The doors open inwards and are open when services are held. There is a step down into the church but a movable ramp is available inside the door.
Seating: The seating in the nave of the Church itself is of Victorian wooden pews. The main aisle is of sufficient width to allow wheelchairs to be placed at the end of a row of pews.
Internal access: There is a step from the nave into the chancel and steps to the sanctuary. Hand rails are provided from the chancel to the sanctuary rail. The priest is ready to bring communion to anyone who does not feel able to reach the sanctuary rail.
Hearing and vision: An induction loop is available for hearing aids. We have large print prayer books available for those who wish to use them.
Toilets: A fully accessible toilet is available in the extension when the church is in use. A fixed ramp provides wheelchair access.
