A Service of Holy Communion is held regularly using the Church of England service framework and is designed to be accessible to newcomers and those exploring faith as well as regular worshippers. The service includes a blend of traditional hymns and contemporary worship songs. The Bible is read and taught in a way that seeks to make the text come alive and be relevant to everyday life in the 21st century, with preaching that helps connect Scripture to contemporary experience. The service lasts approximately one hour and 15 minutes and is followed by refreshments in St Mary’s Centre, providing an opportunity for conversation, connection, and community.

An All Age Worship service is held regularly and is intentionally designed as “worship for everyone,” enabling people of all ages to worship together and participate fully, including children, families, newcomers, and those exploring faith. The service includes a blend of traditional hymns and contemporary worship songs. In line with a whole-church approach to worship, it seeks to engage the different ways people learn and encounter faith. The Bible is read and taught in a way that makes the text come alive and connects it to everyday life in the 21st century, with preaching that applies Scripture to contemporary experience in a clear and accessible way. The service lasts approximately one hour and is followed by refreshments in St Mary’s Centre, providing an opportunity for conversation, connection, and community.

Together @ 4 happens at 4pm in the hall of St Mary’s CE Primary School, Church Lane.

This is a relaxed, welcoming event for all ages – whether you’ve been to church before or not. It’s designed to be easy to join in with, family-friendly, and a chance to explore big questions about life, hope, and purpose through Bible stories, drama, music, and fun activities that focus on the message of Jesus.

There’s something for everyone – children, parents, grandparents, and friends – and it’s a great way to meet others in the school and local community. We finish with free refreshments, including tea, coffee, and some wonderful cakes, giving time to chat and get to know one another.

No pressure, no dress code – just come as you are. Whether you’re curious, looking for community, or just fancy something a bit different on a Sunday afternoon, you’ll be very welcome.
