St George's is an Anglican church and part of the Tolworth, Hook and Surbiton team ministry (THiS). We pride ourselves on being a church family and taking care of one another. Visitors often comment on the warm welcome at St George's - we love it when people stay after our Sunday morning services for a coffee and a chat.
At St George's we have a vision to become a hub for the local community and to bring Jesus to our neighbours both in words and by our actions. We have a comfortable modern building with a large hall which hosts lots of community groups as well as a church run toddler group (in collaboration with DoxaDeo Community church), bible study, prayer groups and Silver Threads - a midweek fellowship group. The hall is also used as a distribution point for the Foodbank and volunteers from St George's and THiS team enable the distribution of food to those most in need.
We meet every Sunday morning at 10 o'clock - 2nd and 4th Sundays are communion services. On 1st Sunday of each month we have our lively All Age service and 3rd Sundays are for a more informal worship services with blocks of worship songs and a longer time for teaching. Whatever the style of our worship our prayer is that it will be filled to the brim with the Holy Spirit. Prayer is central to the life of our church and supports and sustains all that we do.
At the moment St George's is a small church but we would love to grow and be able to do even more in and for our community. If you have a heart for the community, curiosity about Christ or just fancy some company we would love to welcome you. If you are interested in joining in any of our activities or learning more about Jesus and Christianity then send us an email or join us for one of our Sunday services.
