About Us

St George is an Anglican Church and part of the Tolworth, Hook and Surbiton team ministry "THiS" for short. We are a church family that take care of each other and wants to support our local community. Visitors often comment on the warm welcome at St George’s, we love it when people stay after our Sunday morning services for a coffee and a chat.

St George’s vision is to be a hub for the local community and to bring Jesus to our neighbours in worship and by our actions. Our comfortable modern building with large hall hosts many community groups as well as a church run toddler group, Shine kid’s group, bible study, prayer groups and Silver Threads an over 60’s fellowship group. We collect food for the Trussell Trust Foodbank, and volunteers from St George’s distribute food to those in need in the Borough of Kingston at Tolworth Recreation Centre.

We meet every Sunday morning - 2nd and 4th Sundays are communion services. On 1st Sunday of each month we have our lively All Age service, 3rd and 5th Sundays are for a more informal worship services with blocks of worship songs and a longer time for teaching. Whatever the style of our worship our prayer is that it will be filled to the brim with the Holy Spirit. Prayer is central to the life of our church and supports and sustains all that we do.

St Georges Parish stretches from Red Lion Road to the west, Ewell Road to the north, the Sunray Estate and Hogsmill river to the east, King George Fields and Jubilee Way Industrial Estate to the south.

Your Parish Church provides Weddings, Baptisms, Funerals, Confirmation, and Worship services for everyone living within the Church of England Diocese of Southwark Parish of St George's Tolworth.

At the moment St George's is a small church but we would love to grow and be able to do even more in and for our community.

If you have a heart for the community, curiosity about Christ or just fancy some company we would love to welcome you.
