New Here? (FAQs)

What should I expect on my first visit?

Our services run from 10 am to 11 am every first and third Sunday of the month.
We follow a traditional Anglican (Church of England) liturgy, which includes creeds, prayers, hymns, and a sermon. We're also exploring contemporary worship, so musical talents are always welcome!
We encourage arriving a bit earlier if possible, as it gives us a wonderful opportunity to introduce ourselves and chat before the service begins.
After the service, we either gather for tea and coffee in the church lounge or at a nearby coffee shop. This time is perfect for getting to know each other better and engaging in meaningful conversations.

How do I get to the church?

We are located at Ulitsa Oborishte 5, Sofia City, Bulgaria, 1504 (click for Google Maps) adjacent to The Doctor's Garden and Central Library.
Metro: St Kliment Ohridski station. It is a 7-minute walk from there to the church.
Trolleybus stop: St. Kliment Ohridski (Stop ID: 1699), which is about a 2-minute walk to the church.
Bus stop: St. Alexander Nevski (Stop ID: 6439), which is about a 3-minute walk to the church.
Car Parking: free around the area on Sundays; it's a Blue Zone with paid parking on other days.

What should I wear?

Please wear whatever makes you comfortable. We focus on you, not your outfit.

Are children welcome at the service?

Children are very welcome to join us during the service (we currently do not offer separate services or child care.)

How can I get involved?

We love getting to know our church members, and we welcome anyone interested in helping out. Once we get to know each other, we can explore the best ways for you to contribute your time and talents.

How can I support the church?

Donations are gratefully accepted in person via our donation box, through QR codes on our service sheets and posters, or online via our website. We appreciate support in any form—time, talents, or monetary gifts.

Who leads the church?

Our church is guided by Pastor Bob Hall, who has about forty years of experience with the Church of England. Assisting him is Ashley Deutschmann, who is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Christian Leadership Degree. Together with Margaret Hall, who warmly welcomes everyone at our services, they form a dedicated team committed to fostering a nurturing, welcoming, and inclusive community.

What denominations are part of your church community?

While we are a Church of England church, we welcome members from Reformed, Roman Catholic, Bulgarian Orthodox, Methodist, and other denominations.
We offer Eucharist (also called Communion or the Lord's Supper) for those who partake, and we are open to hosting Baptisms, weddings, and other rites upon request.

How can I submit a prayer request?

Prayer requests can be made in person, by email at [email protected], or through our Facebook page (via Messenger.)

How can I stay updated on church activities?

Our Linktree is regularly updated with links to our events calendar, online donation link, links to our social media accounts, etc. While we don’t send regular emails, we actively post updates on our Facebook page

Our motto, "All Are Welcome, All Are Loved," embodies our mission to live as Jesus taught us, making everyone feel at home in our community.
