Serving practically

TCL needs you

Serving practically is one of the best and quickest ways to build powerful friendships. It can also be great fun and massively fulfilling, as you get to contribute to the community and make a difference in the lives of those around you!

Whoever you are, there are lots of ways to get involved practically at TCL, and most teams have space for more. If you have a particular passion or skill, or would just like to contribute to the TCL community, we’d love to hear from you!

Please get in touch through the Contact us page if you’re able to serve.

Here are some of the teams you might like to help with:

Welcome Team

Ensuring people get a heart-warming and genuine greeting on Sunday mornings! It’s easy to serve like this once every few weeks.

Service presentation Team

Preparing and projecting a presentation of song words, liturgy and bible texts. If you’d like to help lead worship but don’t rate your musical ability, this could be for you!

Refreshments Team

Helping prepare and serve refreshments after Sunday meetings. Washer-uppers are greatly appreciated too!

Sound system Team

Operating a sound desk, microphones, speakers and so on. If this is you, please let us know!

Worship Team

We’ll take any musical instrument, but you do need to be able to play it! Also, singers and praise leaders. If you’re gifted in this area, we’d love to hear from you.

Crèche, Children’s and Youth Groups:

We are always looking for suitable people to help with these groups on Sunday mornings.

Leading prayers

Please get in touch if you’d be interested in leading our prayers and intercessions on a Sunday morning.

Reading the Bible

Every week, we hear the Word of God in Bible readings. If you can read the Bible clearly and articulately, please let us know!

Prayer Ministry Team

The prayer ministry team is a group of Christians who feel called to pray for the members of our church. When the Sunday 10:30 morning service ends, the congregation is asked to leave the chapel as quickly and as quietly as possible so that it can be used as a place of prayer. Anyone wanting prayer for whatever reason is invited to remain in the chapel where two members of the team are available to listen to and pray for, or with, them, in a caring and strictly confidential environment. The team meet regularly to pray for each other, to study God’s word together, and to seek to learn how to actively use this ministry to bless our church. We believe that God hears and answers all prayer, and that He can and will use any willing person to be a channel of His perfect love.

We look forward to hearing from you – thanks for your valuable service!
