On Sunday, 5th November, as well as our regular 4pm service, we will also be celebrating the 30th anniversary of the modern refounding of the Anglican Church in St Petersburg (first founded in the city in 1723, closed in 1919), as we remember the first post-Soviet Anglican Eucharist service in St Petersburg, which took place on 7th November 1993

At that 1993 service, Rev Stuart Robertson, who was based at the Open Christianity Society in the city from 1991-98, supported by Crosslinks, presided and was assisted by Rev Malcolm Rogers, who spent 1993-95 at the Orthodox Theological Academy with the Church Mission Society

Rev Rogers of course later returned to Russia to serve very successfully as chaplain of St Andrew's, Moscow from 2017 to June 2023

Please do join us to celebrate our 30 years of serving modern St Petersburg
