About Us

ABOUT THE CONGREGATION

We are a very friendly congregation and welcome visitors to join us for coffee after the service - and to enjoy the many social events we hold during the year - culminating in our famous Ceilidh, usually held in November!

ABOUT THE CHURCH

The congregation meets in the old chapel of San José, which operated as a Roman Catholic parish church from 1971, until the new church of San Antonio de Padua was inaugurated in 1992 followed by the new San José church in 2000. Prior to 1971, the building was the chapel of the Reyes Católicos High School. Today we share the building with the headquarters of Cáritas Parroquial de San José. You can read more about the history of the parish of San José (in Spanish) here.

ABOUT THE CHAPLAINCY

We are part of the Anglican Diocese of Europe and one of the three congregations that make up the Chaplaincy of St George, Malaga - the others being in Malaga and Salinas. Together we form one chaplaincy and one parish, covering much of the central part of the Malaga province, together with inland parts of the Seville, Cordoba and Granada provinces, served from Salinas.
